
Eleonora Filipponi
Mezzosoprano

The young and talented Italian mezzosoprano Eleonora Filipponi graduated from ISSM C. Monteverdi (CR) and made her debut in Carmen for AsLiCo OperaDomani.
She studied at the Opera School of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. In the 2021-2022 season, she was in the ensemble of Theater Ulm, and in the season of 2022-2023 she had her debut as Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino - where she later came back as Emilia in G. Verdi’s Otello. She is currently perfecting with Nadiya Petrenko, Raina Kabaivanska and Anna Maria Chiuri.
Her operatic roles also include Marta in Boito's Mefistofele, performed at Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni di Modena, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte at Teatro Verdi in Trieste, The Mother in Aladdin and the magic lamp by N. Rota at the Festival of the Valle d’Itria. This season’s debuts include Wowkle in G. Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West and Maddalena from G. Verdi’s Rigoletto at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Siegrüne in Die Walkürie at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni in Modena and Piacenza, and Paquette in Bernstein’s Candide in Trieste and Bologna.
Eleonora is the winner of the 51st edition of the Toti dal Monte Competition in 2024, and she explored her oratorio repertoire as the Alto Solo in G.Mahler’s Third Symphony, Beethoven’s IXth Symphony and Pulcinella by I. Stravinsky.
